1. Santos’ sale of Dorado project attracts global attention
Santos, an Australian gas producer, is looking for buyers to buy a 20-30% stake in its large Dorado oil project and Bedout exploration portfolio off the coast of Western Australia, which is estimated to be worth as much as $200 million. A senior official of belarusneft said recently that due to the positive increase of exploration work in the past five years, eight new oil fields have been discovered in the southeast region, with an additional recoverable reserves of 7.5 million tons. In the next two years, belorusneft will drill another 12 exploration wells to discover new deposits.
