1. Five European and American energy giants jointly took 25% of the shares of Qatar north oil and gas field east project
Qatar energy company (QE) announced last week that shell was selected as the fifth partner of Qatar North Tiandong (NFE) LNG project. In this way, the luxury lineup of five European and American energy giants (shell, ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, total and Eni) won 25% of the shares of the project (NFE), which is also the largest international partner recruitment of a single project in the history of the LNG industry.
The north oil and gas field east project (NFE), which costs US $28.75 billion, is expected to start production by the end of 2025. It is estimated that by 2027, the project will increase Qatar’s LNG production capacity from 77 million tons per year to 110 million tons per year.
2. Tenaris signs oil casing agreement with Petrobras
Petrobras recently awarded Tenaris a four-year contract to provide a package of integrated products and services for its flagship Buzios deepwater project. The total contract amount is more than 100000 tons of seamless and welded casing, including carbon steel, sulfur resistant and high collapse resistant steel grades.
Buzios, located in the Santos basin under the salt, is one of the largest deepwater oil and gas fields in the world. By 2030, production is expected to reach 2million barrels per day, higher than the current 700000 barrels per day. This is about 70% of Brazil’s total output today.
3. Norway approved three gas field development plans last week
The Norwegian Ministry of oil and energy approved three gas field development plans last Friday: the production license of Nova gas field, the third stage development plan of ormen Lange oilfield, and the development plan of tommeliten a natural gas and condensate discovery in the southwest of Ekofisk oilfield in the North Sea. These gas fields will further increase the production of the Norwegian continental shelf in the medium and short term.
4. The time for soliciting papers for the 24th World Petroleum Congress was extended to August 8
The Canadian Organizing Committee (ocan) of the 24th World Petroleum Congress (WPC) announced last week to extend the solicitation of papers. The new deadline for submission of summaries is August 8th, 2022. The 24th World Petroleum Congress (WPC) will be held in Calgary, Canada, from September 17 to 21, 2023.
The world petroleum conference is held every three years in selected international cities. It is the world’s premier oil, gas and energy forum, attracting heads of state, energy leaders and technical experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities of managing the world’s oil and energy resources for the benefit of all mankind.
